Louis Bronaugh Park
Located across from City Hall, Louis Bronaugh Park was renamed in 2006 to honor longtime Lufkin Mayor Louis Bronaugh. This scenic park is ideal for public ceremonies and features a bronze eagle sculpture, dedicated in 2002, in memory of those lost on September 11, 2001.
In 2013, the Lufkin Landscape Task Force added an amphitheater with a mural by local artist Bryan Jones, depicting the region’s timber industry history. The park also includes a memorial for the Columbia disaster, dedicated in 2004.
