Kurth Lake Annual Fishing Permit Requirements
To obtain an Annual Fishing Permit for Kurth Lake, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Permits can only be issued to the person who is present in person at the time of purchase. You may not have someone else purchase a permit on your behalf.
Requirements:
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
Identification: A valid ID is required.
Vehicle Information: Provide the license plate number of the truck towing your boat.
Permit Ownership: Permits are non-transferable and must be purchased by the permit holder. Sharing of permits or keys is strictly prohibited.
Boat Size: Only boats 12 feet or longer are permitted.
No Refunds: All permit sales are final.
Note:Kurth Lake Fishing Guidelines:
No one is allowed to fish without a valid permit. Minors are not allowed on or near Kurth Lake without an adult permit holder. Kurth Lake is open to PERMIT HOLDERS only for year-round fishing. The PERMIT HOLDER must be present with the required permit when fishing at Kurth Lake. Kurth Lake Fishing Permits cannot be shared. Annual Permit holders are issued a key. DO NOT DUPLICATE KEYS!

The main gate to the lake is open 30 minutes before daylight and 30 minutes after sundown. All permit holders are required to SIGN IN AND OUT before and after fishing. All boats must be launched and loaded at the designated boat landing. Do not park vehicles blocking any of the designated gates or leave vehicles where they will block traffic. All vehicles must display a valid annual or temporary three-day permit. No vehicles or individuals are permitted on the dam or in any other restricted area. The boat landing gate must be closed and locked upon entering and exiting. Permit holders are not permitted to grant access to others or non-permit holders.
Prohibited Items & Activities: Night Fishing, Swimming, Skiing, Rafts, Canoes, Kayaks, Jet Skis, Boats under 12 ft in length, Bow Fishing/Hunting, Trotlines, Overnight Camping, & The use of explosives or firearms is strictly prohibited.
NOTICE: Danger! Alligators are present in and around the lake, so take caution!
Please help keep the lake and surrounding area clean. Do not litter.

Any person violating the above guidelines is subject to revocation of their permit.
All harvest regulations are standardized with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department bag and length limit
